Kingwood is a neighborhood in Houston, Texas. It was officially founded in 1970 with its first village, Trailwood, opening in 1971. Its slogan is “The Livable Forest” due to the heavy forests that run throughout the area. Famous boxer George Foreman lived in the neighborhood for many years and still owns a house in the area.

Kingwood Branch Library – The Kingwood Branch Library seeks to improve the literacy in the Kingwood community while also aiding residents’ creative endeavors. The library has a variety of services, including story times, a summer reading program, computer access, and even 3D printing.

Kingwood High School – Kingwood High School is a part of the Humble Independent School District of Harris County. Kingwood High opened its doors in 1979 to freshman and sophomore students. By the end of that school year, the school was open to all grade levels and had opened facilities such as a pool and a gym.
