Memorial Park, TX Interior Designer

Memorial Park is a park located in Houston, Texas and is one of the largest urban parks in the United States. The land the park was established on was used a military training camp, Camp Logan, during WWI. The Memorial Park of today was given its name as a dedication to all those soldiers who lost their lives in the war.

Memorial Park Resources:

Memorial Park Conservancy – The Memorial Park Conservancy is dedicated to preserving, restoring, and building up Memorial Park. The conservancy runs the day to day park maintenance, protects the native ecosystems and waterways of the park, and educates its community on conservation and forestry.

Memorial Park Golf Course – The Memorial Park Golf Course is considered one of the best municipal courses in the nation. It was formed as a 9-hole course for training soldiers to play on in 1912 and has hosted many famous golfers, including Arnold Palmer. Today, it is the site of the Houston Open.

Bayou City Art Festival – The Bayou City Art Festival has brought a diverse collection of artists from all across the country to Memorial Park for over 50 years. The festival includes art, music, food, entertainment for over 3 days with all proceeds going to local nonprofit programs.
