West University Place, or just “West University”, is a city located in the Houston metropolitan area of Texas.  The city was developed in 1917 and was given its name due to its proximity to Rice University. Many notable people have lived in West University, including former NBA coach Jeff Van Gundy.

West University Resources:

West University Little League – West University Little League is one of the largest youth baseball leagues in the country with over 1,000 players. The league is non-profit and is largely run by volunteers. Despite its focus on baseball, the league hopes to develop athletes into responsible citizens.

Friends of West U Parks – The Friends of West U Parks is a volunteer organization that raises funds and helps develop parks and green spaces in West University. Its volunteers work hard to make sure that playgrounds are safe and each park has ample facilities to meet the recreational needs of West University residents.

Rotary Club of West U – Since 1995, the Rotary Club of West U has brought business leaders in West University together to serve their community. The rotary club hosts a wide variety of services projects and fundraisers throughout the year, including an annual golf tournament.
